Easting to much sugar:
this has been thrown around so many times and is simply not true, although eating lots of sugar can lead to obesity which in turn puts you at a higher rick of getting diabetes

Stress:
Again another myth, stress does not cause diabetes. however it can make things alot worse for those who already have diabetes

Contagious:
I dont know which silly person made this up, but you cannot catch diabetes from someone else, and you cannot pass it onto someone else. Although if you have a history of it in your family you may be more genetically pre-disposed to it.

There are two types of diabetes Type 1 & Type 2. Below are explanations of both types of diabetes.

Type 1 Diabetes
This causes the cells in the pancreas that make insulin to be destroyed, This causes a severe lack of insulin. It is not clear yet as to why this happens but there have been a large number of possible triggers:
